Singleton Covid 19 Temporary filling kit: Instructions for use
YOU HAVE BEEN PROVIDED WITH A TEMPORARY FILLING MATERIAL CALLED CAVIT.
It is a soft, putty like dressing that can be used to temporarily cover a tooth that may have broken, if you have lost an existing filling or to cover over a tooth that may be in between treatments eg. root canal treatment.
- Please ensure you thoroughly wash your hands before proceeding.
- You will need to make sure that the tooth you are putting the Cavit into is dry, this can be done by drying the tooth with a tissue.
- Cavit should be rolled into a ball, and placed into the affected tooth and pushed firmly into place.
- Only use a small amount to start with as you can always add a little more if needed.
- Bite your teeth gently together.
- Wet your finger and rub over the Cavit material to smooth the edges while it is still soft.
- Avoid eating or chewing on that side for at least an hour to allow the Cavit to set firmly.
